Course Description

Both 5K and 10K courses begin on the south side of the Santa Fe Plaza at 8:00am. The course heads east on Alameda tracking along with the Santa Fe River for the first mile. At Palace Avenue the course crosses the river and hops onto Canyon Rd east, where it loops counter clockwise around Cristo Rey Church before returning to the Plaza along Alameda.

5K runners will re-enter the Plaza and finish on the north side in front of the Palace of the Governors. 10K runners will double back for a second loop of the course.

Water stops will be out on the course at miles 1.5 and 3. There will be course marshals and traffic police along the route but please be mindful of traffic. The course will be marked off with cones, but roads will not be closed to vehicles.

The Kids' 1K race starts at 9:30am from the Palace of the Governors. Participants generally range in age from 3-8yrs. The route is two laps of the Plaza finishing back near the start. The course comes up a bit short of a true kilometer, but you know, it's a kids race. Regardless of distance we know there will be 200m of sprinting followed by exhausted jogging and maybe a quick burst to the finish. Medals for all participants.
